Program Details Ages: 5–12 years Class Length: 40 minutes Program Overview Swim School provides a structured, skill-based progression for swimmers of all experience levels, with the goal of developing confident, capable swimmers and preparing them for future swim team participation. Instructors focus on stroke technique, lateral breathing, diving, endurance, and essential water safety skills in a fun and supportive environment. With clearly defined levels and consistent feedback, swimmers advance at their own pace while building strong technique and confidence. Skills Taught <>Swim School is taught in a motivating group environment that encourages peer learning and confidence. Early levels focus on foundational skills, including: Proper face and body position Survival floating Breath control As swimmers progress, instructors introduce and refine all major swim strokes, along with: Lateral breathing Deep-water treading Diving The final five minutes of each class are dedicated to supervised games and fun time. Important Notes Parent Observation: Parents and caregivers may observe from the pool deck. This “without parent” format helps reduce distractions and allows instructors to maintain focus for a productive learning environment. Instructor Information: Most instructors are high school or college students who enjoy working with children. Many are swimmers or pursuing careers in education or early childhood development. Instructor requests cannot be accommodated for group lessons. Safety & Participation Expectations To participate in group lessons, children must be able to: Stay with their group Follow directions from aquatic staff Remain safely above water while waiting their turn (sitting on the ledge, standing on in-water risers, or staying in designated shallow areas) Children who are unable to meet these expectations, require excessive one-on-one attention, or disrupt group safety may be removed from the class and issued a prorated refund.
