Hairspray at The Fireside In 1962 Baltimore - Tracy Turnblad - a big hearted teen with a passion for dance - lands a spot on a hit TV dance show and becomes an overnight star. Using her fame, she takes on teen queen Amber, wins over heartthrob Link, and fights to integrate the show. Winner of 8 Tony Awards, Hairspray is a joyful, high-energy celebration of acceptance, equality, and the power of standing up for what's right. Before the show, enjoy a delicious meal with spring salad, freshly baked bread and your choice of coffee, tea or milk. Select one of the following entrees: Pretzel-Crusted Chicken, Baked Almond-Crusted Cod, Barbequed Baby Back Ribs, or Vegetarian Flatbread Pizza. Finish your meal with a slice of Key Lime pie for dessert. Purchase additional beverages on your own. Please provide your menu choice before the trip. Transportation is by Park District bus. Moderate walking is involved with this trip. Registration deadline is April 1 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
