Students will learn a range of sewing techniques, beginning with a simple hand-sewing project, which will prepare them for working on the sewing machine. With the start of our second project and onwards, the students will be working on the machine, with some hand sewing for finishing certain elements. These beginner projects will include learning several stitch types, sewing on buttons, exploring and working with different fabrics, and cutting/pinning. Supplies will be provided for the first two projects, after that fabrics and thread will need to be purchased for the third project. Projects include a hand-sewn bag with a button, a pillow, and pajama pants. No class 3/28 and 4/25.
