Is your child thinking about joining a swim team in the future? This class is structured to give them an exposure to competitive swimming with extra practice in each of the competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly). In addition, there will be an emphasis on endurance, flip turns, and diving ability. Classes will be run clinic-style, and you can expect to see stroke refinement and improvement in overall performance. This course will have a ratio of no more than 12 swimmers per instructor. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards freestyle continuously and have passed the Buffalo Grove Park District Stroke School green or an equivalent. No class on March 22, 29, and April 5.
