GRADES: 3 - 8 LOCATION: Skokie Playfields Let your girls take a swing at softball this spring in the Winnetka Park District’s House League! Practices and games teach girls fundamentals of the game in a fun environment, with competition to fit their level of play as they progress. The softball league will be split into three divisions: grades 3 and 4, grades 5 and 6, and grades 7 and 8. Volunteer parent coaches lead teams through practices and games from March to the beginning of June. The season includes games, against neighboring towns Wilmette, Glencoe, Evanston, and Northbrook. Teams of 5th through 8th graders will participate in a post season tournament. One practice and one game are held per week, Monday through Sunday. Times vary depending on schedule. Teams are formed at the sole discretion of Park District staff and coaches. Each participant may make one friend request. Only reciprocal friend requests will be honored, but not guaranteed. Evaluations will be held, if needed. After teams are selected, participants will be notified by their coaches, and practice dates for each team will be determined. NO CLASS: 5/25
