Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet and jazz techniques, and focuses on developing grace and fluidity through arm movements and leaps and turns. Emotional expression, poise, and self-confidence are also developed through lyrical dance. The music and lyrics are used to inspire strong emotions which are conveyed through the dancers’ movements. Required attire: leotard or fitted athletic wear and half-sole turning shoes.
