Learning more about politics from hands-on, real-life experience than from academia, Renata Reynolds, an outspoken political science senior, unwittingly turns a class project into a volatile public debate regarding true democracy. Her opponent: an ultra-conservative state congresswoman, Suzanne Nighcore, a University alum and donor. Renata is compelled to ward off possible expulsion at the hand of the private University Chancellor and Representative Nighcore, and to safeguard her goal: a political career in politics. Renata engages the undercover help of the Congresswoman’s estranged son, Rodney. Ultimately, Renata decides to get into the political “game” to learn how to play it if she ever hopes to win based upon her beliefs, her ideals, herself!
