In this hands-on workshop, participants will design and assemble a custom wood-covered junk journal using pre-cut wood covers, binding materials, decorative papers, and a variety of embellishments such as fabric, ribbons, tags, and mixed media elements. Participants will explore layering, page composition, and creative assembly techniques while building interactive features such as pockets, inserts, and decorative accents. Each journal is fully customizable, allowing participants to create a richly detailed and personalized piece that blends structure with artistic expression. By the end of this workshop, participants will complete one fully assembled and embellished wood-covered junk journal, demonstrating basic binding, layering, and mixed media design techniques.
