Students will design and build their own illuminated book nook display (approximately 5.25 inches wide, 10.5 inches high, and 7.9 inches deep) using pre-cut components, decorative finishes, miniature furnishings, ambient lighting features, and curated accessory details. Participants may choose from a variety of creative themes such as cozy reading rooms, bakeries, gaming spaces, plant lounges, cafés, and other imaginative miniature scenes to personalize their project. Each design may include scaled décor elements such as tiny books, plants, shelving accents, tables, seating, and other finishing touches that bring the scene to life. Throughout the class, students will assemble, style, and customize their book nook while exploring layout design, creative expression, and hands-on building techniques. By the end of class, students will complete one fully assembled and illuminated book nook display, demonstrating introductory skills in design, assembly, and creative customization.
