Players learn to play or improve their tennis game with our experienced staff. Participants should dress in comfortable clothing, wear tennis shoes and provide their own racquet. Players are grouped by ability. If classes are canceled due to weather, up to two makeups are scheduled the week following the end of the session. <div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Orange Ball</b> classes utilize the ABCs - agility, balance and coordination - along with instruction on basic tennis strokes using a 60' tennis court and special orange tennis balls. </div><div><br></div><div><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif"></font><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="background: white;"><font face="Calibri"><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif"><strong>Green Ball</strong> program is designed for youth players ages 8-11 who have progressed their skills in Orange Ball (ages 7-10). Green Ball utilizes a slightly decompressed ball on a full-sized court. Green Ball players have developed foundational skills in the red and/or orange ball levels and can now learn to integrate a faster ball played on the standard singles and doubles courts.</font> </font></span></p></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Yellow Ball</b> classes use a standard <font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif">tennis ball</font>. </div><div><br></div><div><b>Beginners</b> have never played tennis or have played a limited amount, but not on a regular basis. Class emphasizes introduction of forehand, backhand, serve, shot placement, positioning, scoring and rules. </div><div><b>Advanced Beginners</b> have knowledge of scoring and rules and may have had some lessons, but lack on-court experience. They can keep a ball in play with others of similar ability. Class emphasizes improvement of basic strokes and works on positioning, shot placement, footwork and serve consistency. <b>Intermediates</b> are those who can place shots with moderate success and sustain a rally at a slow pace. They are still learning all strokes and lack consistency in serving. (ba)</div>
