Have you ever wanted to know more about henna? This program will teach you the origins of this ancient art form, its historical and modern day use, as well as how it is made. Each participant will get a henna cone and instructions for basic shapes, as well as a design drawn for them by the instructor. All supplies will be provided for this program. Kendra has been practicing the art of henna for over 25 years, and loves sharing her knowledge with students. This event is for teens ages 13-19. Radical Fit is a Chicago Public Library YOUmedia initiative dedicated to teen fashion-making with a special focus on gender identity and equity.
