This activity is for the toddler - aged child, interested in skating! The hour long class will include 15 minutes of pre-class instruction with the guardian and skater, approximately 20 - 30 min on the ice, learning how to stand and ice skate, with story or craft time afterward story or craft time afterward. Children are encouraged to explore their abilities, enhance listening capabilities, socialize in a group and develop gross motor skills. Theme weeks, music, toys, and other fun equipment are used to make it a fun and developmental experience. Helmets required. Parents are allowed on the ice in skates only, and only if they have skating experience. MPSC offers $3 skate rental for skaters, starting at toddler-size-6.
