SNOWPLOW 1-3 (Ages 3-5 yrs) Snowplow 1 – Learn to Play Snowplow: Snowplow 1 is perfect for brand-new skaters taking their first steps on the ice. This class focuses on helping young children feel comfortable, safe, and confident as they learn how to stand, balance, and move on their skates. Through fun games and gentle guidance, skaters practice marching, small glides, and simple movements that build the foundation for future skills. No experience required—just excitement to try something new! Snowplow 2 – Building Balance & Control: Snowplow 2 continues to develop comfort and independence on the ice. Skaters work on enhancing balance, learning how to glide longer, introducing beginning stops, and improving posture and coordination. Fun activities help students practice swizzles, backward movement basics, and controlled forward skating. This level reinforces confidence and prepares skaters for more advanced beginner skills. Snowplow 3 – Preparing for Basic Skills: Snowplow 3 focuses on refining technique and preparing skaters for the Basic Skills levels. Participants work on more advanced gliding, stronger swizzles, beginning one-foot skills, and more confident forward and backward movement. This class also introduces simple turns and improved stopping techniques.
