Within our Age Group Program, we offer 3 levels for swimmers ages 10 and under and 3 levels for swimmers ages 11 and over. Within both age groups these levels are White, Blue and Red. In the White levels, swimmers will learn the technical aspects of all four of the competitive strokes, be introduced to training concepts, and develop skills needed for competition. In the more advanced Blue and Red levels, swimmers will build upon elements previously learned; continuing to improve technique, expanding on knowledge of training concepts, and refining skills for competition. Due to the DHS water polo schedule, there is not a general schedule for practices at DHS. Monthly schedules will be posted on the COHO website. Within our Age Group Program, we offer 4 competitive levels for swimmers ages 6-14. Our competitive levels (White, Blue, Red, and Black) are designed to build on the basic elements of competitive swimming, teaching swimmers goal setting, advanced stroke technique, and racing strategies. Swimmers will have requirements to move up within this structure that mix attendance, test sets, and achievement at swim meets. There is an additional USA Swimming registration fee required for these levels.
