Delete your Anjou account

Anjou is published by Parkenstein.

In-app deletion (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your Anjou account is from the mobile app:

  1. Open the Anjou app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Server-side deletion completes within 30 days.

Email request (fallback)

If you can't access the app, you can request deletion by email:

  • Email privacy@anjou.app from the email address on your account.
  • Include your full name and the email address tied to the account.
  • We respond within 48 hours.

What gets deleted

  • Auth0 identity (login profile)
  • User account record
  • All child profiles you created
  • Saved and dismissed activities
  • Review ratings and text you authored
  • Push notification tokens (FCM on Android, APNS on iOS)
  • Session and authentication tokens
  • App preferences and settings

What is kept (and why)

  • Aggregated, de-identified analytics with no personal identifiers (Sentry crash counts, anonymized error stack traces).
  • Legal or audit logs required by law — none retained today. Anjou has no monetization and no payment records, so there is nothing we are required to keep.

Retention window

  • Server-side deletion completes within 30 days of the request.
  • Encrypted backups age out within an additional 60 days (90 days total from request).

Delete data without deleting your account

If you want to remove specific data but keep your account, you have a few options:

  • Delete a child's data: Profile > tap the child's name > Manage Data > Delete All Data.
  • Revoke consent for a child: Profile > tap the child's name > Manage Data > Revoke Consent. This deletes the child's profile and stops all further data collection for that child.
  • Remove a specific data type: email privacy@anjou.app and tell us which data type you want removed.
