Progress from beginner to confident swimmer in our structured Learn to Swim program designed for children ages 5 to 13. With a low student-to-instructor ratio (approximately 4:1), swimmers receive guidance as they build essential water safety skills, breath control, and proper body positioning. Each level introduces age-appropriate techniques from basic strokes to advanced coordination and endurance ensuring every child develops the confidence and ability to swim safely and effectively. Whether just starting out or refining advanced skills, this program supports steady growth in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. (RM) Learn to Swim - Level 1 Swimmers build water independence and learn the fundamentals of swimming, including proper body position, basic arm and leg coordination, and breath control. Floating with gentle assistance and kicking with the stroke bar helps establish comfort and safety in the water. Learn to Swim - Level 2 This level introduces coordinated breathing and strengthens arm and leg movements. Swimmers begin practicing backstroke, basic water survival skills, and are gently introduced to deeper water environments to build confidence and awareness. Learn to Swim - Level 3 Focus shifts to building strength and endurance as swimmers prepare to complete full lengths of the pool. Elementary Backstroke is introduced, and technique is refined to support longer, more controlled swims. Learn to Swim - Level 4 Swimmers must be able to swim a full pool length with proper technique to begin this level. Classes emphasize increased distance, efficient turns, and refined swimming and diving skills. Breaststroke is introduced to expand stroke variety and control. Learn to Swim - Level 5 Stroke refinement and endurance take center stage. Swimmers work on mastering Front Crawl and Backstroke while learning the fundamentals of Butterfly. Circle swimming and open turns are practiced preparing for continuous lap swimming. Learn to Swim - Level 6 Advanced stroke mechanics, pacing, and efficiency are developed through longer swim sets and interval training. Butterfly technique is strengthened, and swimmers refine starts, turns, and learn basic training concepts to improve stamina and performance. Learn to Swim - Level 7 This pre-competitive level prepares swimmers for swim team readiness. Structured workouts focus on stroke perfection, endurance, and technique across all four competitive strokes. Swimmers demonstrate proficiency over extended distances and gain confidence in a team-style training environment. (RM)
