Karate classes for ages 7-adult are taught by Illinois Shotokan Karate Instructors trained by former U.S. team member and four-time National Champion, John DiPasquale. ISKC's karate classes offers a good mix of strength training through cardiovascular and flexibility exercises. Students increase coordination, agility, and poise while also learning personal safety skills. Additionally, students will learn choreographed moves of the kata and discipline of conforming to class rules. Pre-Karate (ages 4-6 years) – Students will discover and develop agility, strength, and coordination skills through fun and creative activities. Youth/Adult Karate (ages 7 and up) – Students will develop coordination, strength, and personal safety skills along with agility, self-confidence and discipline. NOTE: Beginner students may not register into a session after the second class has met. Registration for continuing/advanced students is accepted after the start date, but full payment is required. Youth and adults will train together. Contracted through ISKC (CP).
