This class will help students develop their fine and gross motor skills, strength, flexibility, and balance while emphasizing a strong work ethic. Skills practiced include, but are not limited to, support casts, back hip circle progressions, forward roll-offs and pullovers on the bars, forward/backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and bridges on the floor, kickups, releve walks, plies, step-outs, chases, forward rolls, and stretch jump dismounts on the beam, running punches, squats on, jump-offs, and running drills on the vault. Participants should wear appropriate attire which includes leotards or elastic waist shorts, form fittingshirt, and hair pulled back. All participants in the gymnastics/tumbling program will need to pay anannual $40 insurance fee. This is paid on-site on the first day of class.
