In this fun and interactive tabla course, students explore the vibrant rhythms of Hindustani classical music while learning to play this dynamic pair of hand drums. Through clapping games, spoken bols (rhythmic syllables), and hands-on drumming, participants build coordination, creativity, and confidence. No experience needed - just bring your curiosity and get ready to make some exciting rhythms! Your instructor, Bindu Pathak, has her masters in Tabla and has performed in solo competitions and with groups at temple. Each participant will need a set of Tabla drums which will be available to rent from the instructor for $12 for the session on the first night of class. (AS)
