York Community High School - Band Room
For over ten years, the Elmhurst Summer Band and Jazz Band, directed by Michael Pavlik of York Community High School and the retired Fine Arts Chair William Riddle, have been highlights of Elmhurst’s summer events. These ensembles offer a fantastic chance for students aged 12 and up to keep playing during the summer and for adult musicians to revive their instruments. The Concert Band rehearses on five Tuesday evenings starting June 9, culminating in an outdoor concert at York Community High School on Tuesday, July 14. The Jazz Ensemble meets for five Thursday evening rehearsals starting on June 11, ending with a performance on Monday, July 13. Both concerts are free, open to the public and take place on the north lawn of York Community High School.
