Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program Designed for kids looking for some first-job and team building experience. A positive, cooperative attitude is required for this unique opportunity. Program participation is based on an application and interview process. Applications will be available online at stcparks.org beginning March 1. Applications are due by Wednesday, April 15. Interviews will be conducted in late April. Fee includes t-shirt, pool admissions, field trips, and supplies per session. Participation in CiT Leadership Boot Camp is required to register for future 1-week CiT sessions Counselor-in-Training Leadership Bootcamp Learn the basics: Through games, workshops, and fun activities, teens will improve communication and organizational skills, practice making decisions, collaborate with others and set achievable goals. You'll spend time volunteering in the community, but also make time to play, too! By taking advantage of these new experiences, teens will become more confident and excel in leadership roles. Counselor-in-Training Leadership Experiences BE a Leader: Take what you've learned in CiT Leadership Bootcamp and apply it this summer assisting counselors with park district camps. Keep campers busy and safe during daily programming. Help organize and lead a variety of games, activities and projects. CiTs will meet weekly in small groups with counselors to continuously improve leadership skills.
