This beginner-friendly workshop teaches basic hand-sewing skills through the creation of a durable tote bag. Participants will learn to use essential tools, stitch strong seams, and assemble their project step by step in a supportive environment. Those who don’t finish in class will receive guidance to complete their tote at home. Learning Outcomes: Use basic sewing tools safely; Thread a needle and tie knots; Sew strong backstitches; Pin, align, and construct fabric pieces; Measure and attach sturdy handles. The instructor will provide complete tote bag kits for each participant. Each kit will contain the following items: precut fabric pieces, scrap fabric for stitch practice, polypropylene webbing for handles, thread, hand-sewing needles, sewing tape measure, needle threader, pincushion, pins, a pair of scissors, thimble, seam ripper, fabric marking tool.
