Jefferson Jr High School
This class encourages kids to embrace physical activity while exploring the exciting world of track and field. Participants will learn key fundamentals to improve flexibility, body positioning, core strength, balance, and cool-down techniques. Improving their ability for the jumping, running, and throwing skills essential to the sport. Participants will enjoy fitness games alongside activities such as sprints, relays, long-distance walking, hurdle races, long jump, modified discus/shot put throw, and other track and field events. The program culminates in a lively track and field meet on the final day of class. Each child should bring a water bottle. Supervisor: Nick Bacarella
