Swim Central · Oak Brook, IL
Fluid Running is a serious, full-body workout performed in the deep end of the pool — no touching the bottom, no swimming required. Using a flotation belt to keep you upright and buoyant, you'll move through a structured class that includes a warm-up, aerobic running sets, high-intensity intervals, and a cool-down. Because water is 800 times denser than air, every movement works harder for you—building cardiovascular endurance and strengthening your arms, legs, and core simultaneously. The result? A genuinely challenging workout with zero impact on your joints. Participants do not need to be runners or swimmers, but should be comfortable in deep water. Flotation belts are provided. Heart rate monitors are recommended but not required.
