This activity offers the perfect balance of Yoga postures and Pilates mat exercises, with a focus on total body strength, flexibility and muscle awareness. A combination of Vinyasa Yoga (Vinyasa flow) and Pilates core conditioning mat work are placed in combination for a total body work-out. Yoga forms will be manipulated to achieve maximum range of movement while traditional Pilates mat exercises further connect the student to “working from their core”. Roughly, the first half of the class is a base yoga stretch followed by a yoga form sequence, the second half is Pilates core exercise mat work finishing with a standing form sequence This activity is presented by pmdance.
