Eco-adventures day camp is a nature-based camp that meets once a week for four weeks. Each week has a different topic. See below for the list and descriptions of topics. Week 1: Fur and Feathers Campers will learn about native mammals and birds. Campers will handle biofacts like mammal pelts and skulls, feathers, and other materials to help us learn. We will also use tools like binoculars and bird call recordings to sharpen our identification skills. Week 2: Tiny Wonders During this week of camp campers will investigate insects, study spiders, and gain a greater appreciation for the tiny animals that call the forest preserves their home. Week 3: Aquatic Adventures This week of camp will be focused on lakes, ponds, rivers, and wetlands. We will learn all about these amazing ecosystems and focus on the animals that call them home! Week 4: Nature Games The final week of camp will be all about having fun before summer ends. Campers will play nature inspired games, make crafts, and spend one last camp session hanging out with their day camp leaders and fellow campers.
